What can you tell me about periwing.com or other sites like it?

I know there have been several questions posted on this subject, but I wanted to see if there are any more recent answers. I was looking for 2 wedding dresses that I LOVE, but are really pricey (one of them is $1400...out of my budget) and I found periwing.com makes it for a little over $100! Does anyone have any recent experience with them, preferably personal (not a friend of a friend...) experience?? If so, is it worth it? How is the fabric, is it obvious its a knock-off and cheap looking? How long did delivery, etc take? I know the whole %26quot;you get what you pay for%26quot;, but if its worth it then I%26#039;d love to put that money saved towards flowers or something for the wedding!!

I am having a similar experience- I also love a $1500 dress that%26#039;s listed at just $120 on periwing.com. I%26#039;ve heard mixed reviews, but I think I%26#039;m going to give it a chance just to see what I get. It%26#039;s a small loss if it turns out horrible, and I figure I can always take it to a consignment shop or ebay if I choose not to wear it. Another option is to google the designer and style of the dress you love and shop around for a great price. Bestbridalprices.com and jaysbridal.net are low. There are many others available online at wholesale prices as well. I contacted a small shop whose owner had a wholesale license and can find my exact dress for $800. In all, periwing is a gamble and- if you have the time for error and the extra $100 I would try it. Depending on what you want, it could work... Best of luck!

Reply:If a dress normally costs $1400 and they are selling on it this website for $100, I defiently wouldn%26#039;t trust it. The best thing is to find a dress that fits your budget and try it on in person. Buying something as important as a wedding dress on the internet is not something I recommend. This is a special day and you should feel like a princess trying on those dresses. Shop around your city and other cities close by and I%26#039;m sure you will find something.
